Ordering a portrait

Or better yet, send a few. That will allow me to suggest which of the pictures I believe is best to draw a portrait from. Please keep in mind that not every picture you think is just wonderful is a good picture for a portrait!
You can send any picture in any way and format. Print, electronic file, black and white, color. You can scan any picture to a file that you can send electronically at most office stores. Most important is that you choose a picture that you would like to give a very special place in your house and in your heart.

Even if you choose to use regular mail instead of email I still need a valid email address to communicate with you.
Size and quality of the photo
I can only draw what I can see!
That means I can not draw a portrait from a 4x6 photo where the face of the subject is about 1/2 of an inch or less. No matter how much I enlarge that picture, it will not show enough detail for a good portrait.
So this is not good!

I will look at the picture(s) and discuss with you which one I will use for the portrait.
Only after we agreed via email on the picture I will use am I asking for a payment.
The price for a 11x14 single subject unframed portrait is $75.
You can split the amount in 2 payments.
To start working on the portrait I ask for a downpayment of $35.
The rest ($40 + $15 Shipping) is due after the portrait is finished to your satisfaction and you agree to buy the finished product.
You will receive at least one picture of the work in progress.
Generally it takes about 2 weeks to finish a portrait.
